As a statewide association of services providers, the Hawaii Waiver Providers Association (HWPA) provides leadership to collaborate and shape the service system to most meet the needs of our ultimate customer, the individual with mental retardation and developmental disabilities (MR/DD). Founded in 2001, HWPA is an organization which represents community based providers of services to individuals with MR/DD. The HWPA promotes the overall improvement of the quality of community supports necessary for individuals to reach their highest level of independence.
